Terms of Service

Legal identity not yet registered. This product is operated by an individual who has not yet registered a legal entity, registered address, or jurisdiction for this business. No company name, postal address, governing law, or registered contact is available. The operator must supply these details before these terms can bind anyone. Until then, this document states the intended terms of use for the service as it currently operates.

Billing

No payment processor is connected yet. Previewcard does not currently accept real payments through any payment processor. The checkout form shown on the pricing page is a visual demonstration only — no data is sent to Stripe or any other processor, and no charges are made.

Free tier. The Free tier — the full web-app URL checker at /app — is available at no cost. No payment information is required to use it.

Pro tier (not yet available for purchase). The Pro tier, which includes API key access, higher rate limits, and bulk URL checking, is planned but not yet offered. No payment is accepted for it today. When Pro launches, the following terms will apply:

What you buy. A Pro subscription grants you programmatic access to the Previewcard checker via an API key, with dedicated rate limits and the ability to submit batches of URLs in a single request.

Price and billing period. The Pro subscription will be billed monthly in advance at the then-current price. The price will be clearly displayed before you complete checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe, and Previewcard never stores full payment card numbers.

Failed payments. If a recurring payment fails (card declined, expired, insufficient funds), Previewcard will retry the charge automatically up to three times over a 7-day period. If payment has not succeeded after those retries, access to paid features will be suspended until a payment method is updated and a new charge clears. The subscription will be cancelled after 30 consecutive days without a successful payment.

Refund policy. Because the diagnostic result is delivered immediately upon each API request, subscriptions are non-refundable except in cases of billing error (duplicate charge, incorrect amount). If you believe you have been charged in error, contact the operator to request a review. Refunds for billing errors will be issued at the operator's discretion.

Service description

Previewcard is a diagnostic tool that fetches a user-supplied URL, parses its HTML meta tags, and reports the social preview metadata it finds. The service is provided as a stateless web application with no accounts, no stored data, and no persistence between requests.

Acceptable use

You may use Previewcard to check URLs for their social meta tag content. You agree not to use the service to:

— Submit URLs you do not have the right to access.
— Send excessive automated requests that degrade the service for other users.
— Attempt to bypass any rate limits or technical protections.
— Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

No guarantees about social platforms

Previewcard reports what the page's HTML declares and whether the referenced images load. It does not and cannot guarantee how any social platform (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Slack, Discord, etc.) will render, cache, or display that information. Social platforms may cache preview data, ignore certain tags, fall back to their own heuristics, or render differently from what the tags declare. The diagnostic results are a report of the page's metadata — not a guarantee of any platform's rendering behaviour.

No warranties

This service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The operator makes no representation that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the diagnostic results will be accurate or complete. The service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this service, including but not limited to decisions made based on the diagnostic results.

Intellectual property

The Previewcard name, logo, and site design are owned by the operator. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works of the service or its branding without permission.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

No governing law or jurisdiction has been designated because no legal entity has been registered for this business. This section will be updated when the operator registers the business entity and selects a governing law.
